The School of Education at Trinity College Dublin is involved in an international research project about Teacher Autonomy. With the professional assistance of teachers and researchers in four European countries (Ireland, Sweden, Finland and Germany) a questionnaire has been developed that covers important aspects of autonomy and decision-making processes in the teaching profession.

TCD is aiming to get 500 second-level teachers to complete the survey this October as this is the target for each of the four countries.  While this is an ambitious target, a large sample will make any findings more valid and relevant to schools.
