Overview

The JMB is hosting a series of two-hour practical workshops which will address the following:

  • Teaching & Non-teaching contracts of employment
  • Key terms and conditions of employment
  • Sick leave and annual leave arrangements (non-teaching personnel)
  • Grievance and disciplinary procedures (non-teaching personnel)
  • Relevant legal developments

Participants may find it beneficial to bring their own laptop to work through a contract of employment.

 

Who should attend

The workshops will be of particular benefit to school principals, deputy principals and any member of a board of management who has responsibility for preparing and issuing contracts. In particular, newly appointed principals and deputy principals should note that this topic will not be covered at the Newly Appointed Principals and Deputy Principals Training Programme in June 2018.

A maximum of two attendees per school is requested so as to facilitate greater representation and engagement.

Workshops are limited to a maximum of 25 at each venue. Each workshop is of two hours duration, 10.00am – 12.00pm.
