Second-level schools open after ASTI calls off action to allow for talks

Irish Independent: Second-level schools will open tomorrow after the secondary teachers union, the ASTI called off its action to allow for talks in the Workplace Relations Commission.The union is suspending its one day strikes and its withdrawal  from supervision and substitution. Education Minister Richard Bruton welcomed the move, which emerged after a meeting of the ASTI 23-member Standing Committee.
