Interview Competencies - Updates and Best Practice
The JMB will deliver a “refresher” training module on Competency-Based Recruitment and Selection of Senior School Leaders (Principal/Deputy Principal). This seminar will cover the latest updates on the advice relating to the recruitment and selection of Principals/Deputy Principals) as well as appeal circular CL 0062/2021.
Who should attend? Chairperson, Principals and nominees of the Board of Management who are likely to serve on Selection Committees for the appointment of Senior School Leaders and who have already completed the full 1.5-day Interview Competency Course some years previously.
Who should not attend? People who have not completed the full course as well as Deputy Principals and teacher nominees on Boards of Management. Deputy Principals and teacher nominees are highly unlikely to lead Selection Committees for the appointment of a Principal or Deputy Principal.
