Phase III professional learning for newly appointed principals provides for a full day of training in a  small group setting to provide a thorough understanding of  the following  topics to enable newly appointed principals to plan and prepare for the 2025/2026 school year. This session will provide an overview of:

  • Staffing Position 1 form [SP1]
  • Curriculum planning
  • Curriculum audit
  • Completing the CC form for the DE
  • Notifying vacancies to DE
  • Curricular concessions
  • Projected enrolment
  • Application for EAL Hours
  • Advertising posts
  • Contracts for teachers – Substitute/Year 1/Subsequent years/ CID/Continuous
  • Appointment forms and Re-Appointment forms
  • Vetting & Statutory Declarations
  • Eligibility for CID contracts
  • Allocation of SNAs – NCSE

Please bring a copy of your allocation and all last year’s documentation, and as much planning for 2025/2065 as possible. It is essential to bring your laptop/device.
